About Hull Red CIO
Who we are and what we do
Who we are and what we do
Hull Red’s aim is to increase social opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
Our projects are all about supporting people to live the lives they choose. Going out, seeing bands, going clubbing, and meeting up with friends are things lots of us take for granted. But that’s not the case for everyone.
Hull Red creates opportunities for people with learning disabilities to have a good night out. Everyone deserves friendship, fun, a social life that reflects who they are and the freedom to stay up late if they want to!
We have three main ways of doing this:
Nightclub events run for and by adults with learning disabilities and other disabilities. These are a place to let down your hair and have fun!
The Gig Buddies project for Hull and East Riding; matching people with volunteers who share their interests, so they can go to gigs, evening events, or simply hang out as equals and as friends.
Supporting venues with developing accessibility for people with learning disabilities through the Nice Twice Club
Fundraising
We’re always out there raising funds for new projects and to keep the existing ones running and we're really making a huge difference to people's life experiences. If you're interested in making a donation privately or as a corporate sponsor, we'd naturally be delighted to hear from you.
Our thanks go to our current funders who allow us keep the Hull Red party going:
We also give contuinued thanks to our previous funders who supported us on our journey:
